There is a mob of tossers who constantly fish for them in there and brag on farcebook about it.

If I were on face book Id get up them, I returned from a Barra trip with a fight on our hands, across the Mary from us a farmer wants to run free range Pigs & free range chooks
When the big floods hit a third of the property goes under water
Dont get me wrong I was once baby sitter for 200 cow but never near a major river, Dont hold out much hope for the Mary River Cod

There aren't too many access points on six mile either, below the wall the most obvious and a popular spot. Get the DPI onto it and target these poachers. If it's private property, what can you do? Too many ferals and hillbillys around here don't give a damn about regulations.

Tag no. V18631, Mary River Cod, 900mm, tagged by Craig Oster 6 mile creek.
Could give myself rsi and spend hours posting this stuff, but this is the stand out of the lunacy perpetrated by this group of retards led by Craig Slattery.

Interesting that the only Freshwater Cod eligible in his competition are Murray Cod and Trout Cod, yet most photos seem to be Mary's.

Used to say Mary River Cod underwent some rapid editing a while back.

I haven't seen the one on FB, but it is probably the same DH's that have a video on youtube. It wouldn't be hard to track them down and prosecute them on the video evidence alone I reckon. Just go into youtube and type in mary river cod in SEQ, and you will be horrified how many video's there are posted. Unfortunately you can't leave a comment, I looked. Otherwise I would have given them a serve myself.

Those have all been reported to the authorities, sadly, nothing happens.

Published October 1st, so right in the middle of Cod nesting, and closed season. OK, the Cod was a by-catch, but he was using a bloody big lure for Bass. After catching a protected Mary, you would think, to follow the rules you would change your method, but no, he then puts the lure on the kids rod but he only catches a Bass. Technically, they are within the law, but I know, and you know and they bloody knew that they really wanted a Mary.
