Yes yet again a great weekend.

A huge Thanks to the effort of Fitz and Basser for running it again with back up from the Wivenhoe Fish Stocking group. A big thank you to Al from KFDU for the BBQ on both nights.

Its a big call but without a doubt I still reckon its the best Kayak Fishing event on the Calendar..

Looking forward to the next one just like everyone else....

Have to agree with Sel's comment, it is a stand out event for kayakers, whether a champ or just a mug.

A chance for friends to catch up who have come from far and wide and the opportunity to make new friends.

Fitzy think a few have already taken a punt on next year, and if the convention falls over for 2011 guess there could be a casual social/fish gathering as a replacement.

No prizes, just mates, a kayak, rod, and ice box required and pass the hat for the stocking group.

Mate you started the ball rolling with three successful conventions, and think they will perpetuate in future even if called "The Wivenhoe Convention Memorial Social/Fishing Turn Out" .....  hope 'memorial' isn't spooky mate

I'll go with that, all the other ysak comps  I know of think they are playing for sheep stations. Wivanhoe was a great relaxed atmosphere that all can participate in.

Well if my memory serves me right..I think the date has always been the first weekend of the NRL finals, I could be wrong but I remember last year some of us were cheering the Broncos on and this year we were doing the same with the Titans..
