Hi Guys,
I'm after some pro's, con's and personal experience's on a Tarpon 12 kayak (Which i tried and loved) and a peddle powered kayak aka hobbie (which i haven't tried )
The goal is to get a kayak that will be easy to paddle around in the larger rivers/dams such as near Fern vale/Lowood and Wivenhoe but also be able to get round in the smaller rivers such as the Bremer river.
As my current kayak is just a little creek basher which makes paddling longer distances challenging and time consuming.
Love to hear your thoughts and opinions,
Cheers Brad

A hobie pedal yak is great for dams but not creeks. Most of us do own 2 or more kayaks due to that fact.

I have a sit in for bremer, brissy border rivers. Hobie pedal for dams, estuaries. A Boat for Larger expanses of water, as well as for the before mentioned on the less than favorable days, weather wise.

Thank you for your thoughts it has helped me to lean a certain direction :youbeauty
I've been told that the tarpon will be good for a medium size trip (10-20 km) . So it should be good to go cruising around in the dams for a half day????
cheers,
Brad
