Title: A day of pb's
Post by: Novice on December 10, 2012, 12:31:00 PM
What started out as just a cod session to get the wife back in the swing of it ( post baby), ended up being a great day. 12 cod and 3 yellas landed, many more dropped.

Alison started the day well, landing a good fish off the snag where "The Jeff" had dropped a big unit the weekend before.

A new pb for her.

Not long after, I got a new pb too.

Doug got into the action with a cod on one of his home mades ( a first for him).

Some scenery that held fish.

Another upgrade, poor little Garra Tera ended up a worse for wear after this fella.

Caught all my fish for the day on this lure, except for one cod which I got on a spinnerbait while the Garra was hanging in a tree.

Cheers,
Dave.

Nice work there folks. Good to See Scona back on the water with her usual MoJo.  :Clap)

A better class of fish than those upland cool water rats you got the previous weekend on the upper Dumaresq River hey?....

bigger water = bigger fish?

That Garra Tera needs to "go straight to the pool room"... CLASSIC COD RASH     :youbeauty

The larger fish came from unseen snags mid river, the upper dumaresq doesn't have as much of that sort of habitat.

Btw, the sweetwaterfishing shirts worked a treat.  :youbeauty

Bloody awesome session Dave, well done. Getting my casting arm twitching that's good water and plenty of flow in it too by the look of it.

I'm guessing it's running about a foot or so higher than normal and the clarity is just right. Been regular storms upstream of late so should run nicely for awhile yet. Glenlyon is adding its bit too for the irrigators further downstream. Should be a good December and January I hope.

Cheers,
Dave.

Dumaresq River near Texas. There's a lot of options for fishing from kayaks there.

Cheers,
Dave.
