Baroon Pocket 7 1 12
« on: January 07, 2012, 11:52:30 AM »
Slept in, and had a few motor dramas early on the dam, so late start this morning, on station about 7:30am.

Fishing was quiet for the first half hour or so, then Daughter starts whinging about me bring her her "rod that doesn't catch anything". So I hand her one of my 2 kilo rods.
Immediately she brings in a 42cm bass on the rod "that doesn't catch any fish".

Barely got that one released and she is on on the 2 kilo rod, same time as I am on the phone talking to grandad about my motor dramas. The whinging, the fish is so heavy, I cant hold the rod, blah blah blah. Eventually she got it landed, a nice 40cm bass.

Then she caught 3 more fish in a row, all on "the rod that doesn't catch anything" and I was sitting on a donut. I was contemplating whether her mother would believe my story she had run away from home if I came back without her, when I finally got on the board with a couple of late bass around 9am. Weather was getting a little squally, so with only one operating motor I called it and we came home.
