A bit hit and Miss I've heard.
Probably take a while to settle down at its new water level.
Good time of the year to go though.

It'll be about 3 weeks before we go so the dam should have settled by then, hopefully. We went up in late Novemebr for a week and never sighted a fish not even a tap on a lure, that was pretty dissapointing considering we travelled 700klms to get there. thems the brakes though, thats fishing

Hey Abu,

I know of a fella who rang me last week asking the same question who ventured up there this weekend. When he returns I'll post a quick report.

I heard there was still some good fish being caught in the main basin and in Bird Bay. Another option as day trips from Monduran is fishing the Kolan R. downstream of the lake.

Cheers Dave

Thanks Dave,
A little knowledge prior to going may be handy.
Cheers

Sorry Abu,

My mobile got quite wet recently and I lost all history on my phone, so I was unable to ring him. Quite a few members here on SW are heading up the goat track this weekend so we may here a few reports as the week progresses next week. Keep checking Foxies website for reports too. http://www.barratackle.com.au/index.php?_a=viewDoc&docId=13

Cheers Dave

Was talking to a guy that had been at Monduran for 11 days, they fished hard and didn''t get a touch. Water is pretty cold, so will probably postpone the trip.

I've always found that the hour and a half spent on the road between Gin Gin and Benaraby is much more productive than an hour and a half spent on Monduran.

General consensus was that it was tough ..... 3 fish caught & one of those was down river :walkplank .   A lot of water was covered by the group.

that it is ..... all is clearly not lost  -   It  just now needs some big efforts  to extract some results  :tick -   there are still a couple of diehards up there for the next day or so........ so I've got my fingers crossed.    These are the most positive (fair dinkum ) reports for a while now. :youbeauty
