Title: night fishing fernvale

last night we had a sucsessful fishing trip , catching a big eel , a big turtle , and lots of catfish in brisbane river , just past fernvale , it always makes it worth it when u catch big fish.

ofcourse we released the turtle it was a good 50cm from front of head to tail .

Those eels and catties put up a good fight. Used to fish for them all the time when I was a kid, with as light a rod as we could get our hands on.

Yea mate I was using 4pound line on a jnr sportfisher rod . Got to let them take drag when its light line . After got snapped of buy that eel . Went to 10kg line its spceail stuff nylon in middel with braid outside . Was given to at jetty .

Nelony core . Dyneema . I think its braided line intergrated with nylon . Was a gift from chinese guy at jetty . I showed him correct rig for bream . Then he gave me special line from china . I gave him a lure also . Its all about sharing knowage and making friendship. Cheers joe
