Hit the water about 2 hours behind everyone else yesterday but still had a great morning.
First up hit the reed beds with the 6weight for this bloke

then worked the entire bay before heading out for a bit of a run around the dam just the wind freshened.
The bass were not put off by the breeze though and I had to put the rod away because in the end I had to keep stopping to
unhook fish, mainly rats in the low 20's but managed to land a few in the mid 30's with the biggest going 39 cm to the fork

At this stage it all bodes well for the fishing challenge to be held in late February

Well done Dave, wish I could have hung around a bit longer. :youbeauty
I got tricked, the missus made me run 15km and not the 8km's promised!
Should a stayed a bit longer......
-
did you run out and back mate, maybe she meant it was 8km from start to turn around. ::)
when I got back to the beach it felt like Id run 10km just pedalling back down the dam
into the wind.

Nope, it was a circuit route, then we took another track in the forestry which added another 7k's on the run. I was partly to blame too me thinks!
Awesome footage BTW!

Would the rats be from last years stocking? If so good growth rate.
Shame leccies not allowed there. I clean forgot about a submission for EM when SEQ water called for submissions for their rec use plans. ( I assume they included Em ,Baroon and Mcdonald)
Cheers
