Boating hazard removed from Lake Crescent

At the start of the 2015/16 season we advised you of a significant boating hazard, a star picket fence that was mid-way along the sandy shore on the eastern side of Lake Crescent.  At the time, IFS staff removed a lot of the pickets and buoyed off those that could not be removed.

Taking advantage of the current lower lake levels, we have now removed the remaining pickets.  It was with surprise that we found a further 25 that went beyond those previously buoyed off.  Inland Fisheries would like to request that all landowners who do have issues with managing stock during low water levels meet first with one of our team to discuss their plans and the future this will have.
