Lake Boondooma Fishing Report - 26th April 2014

Well Easter is done and dusted for another year there was mixed reports over the long weekend some good some bad.
Lots of boat traffic normally makes the fishing a lot harder and some people found out how true this is but the people who tried something different were rewarded for their efforts.
Jigging blades in around 40 foot of water worked for the big yellow belly and some huge bass landed in the good old fashion trolling hard bodies.
Spinnerbaits landed a few big saratoga up the river arms with a fast retrieve. Once again it wasn’t worth putting the pots out for Redclaw due to the usual long weekend share farmers. We sell Redclaw pots 4 for $32 with some old Telstra rope, few milk bottles, some old fruit or veg out of the fridge and maybe $5 of petrol its not an expensive weekend past time. I don’t understand why you need to steal other peoples pots-redclaw. Please report anyone who is stealing Redclaw to the appropriate authorities. “Rant over”
