Title: Muddy waters return to Lockyer Creek / Brisbane River / Bremer River
Post by: Sweetwater on January 06, 2011, 12:24:10 PM
Well it was short lived... Bass were coming on the chew already with a 60cm Bass & several in the high 50s caught in the mid & lower Brisbane River by some tight lipped locals over the last few days since the water levels dropped in the river.

Huey has played a part. More rain up the Lockyer Valley over night will see flood waters return to Lockyer, Laidley & Buaraba Creeks bring another million tonnes of silt with the water over O'Rielly's Weir into the Mid Brisbane River. The water will once again be soup once again unless SEQWater drop some clean water out of Lake Wivenhoe which will flush the mud down to the rustwater quicker.

Give the river a miss, wont be much good for bass. Maybe good if you want to go plant some potatoes tho.....  :-\
