Title: Brisbane River (Harpeng Rd-Heart attack hill) evening session
Post by: Novice on November 30, 2016, 12:57:57 PM
I went for a late arvo/evening session on the river near my joint last night.

I got dropped off at Harpeng rd and took the c-tug with me so I had options for getting home.

I did poke my nose down into the old log jam section.

There wasn't much action in there, only landing the one little bass.

After dark and as the wind dropped out, I made my way upstream. Along the eastern bank regular boofs and hits kept me entertained. No size amongst the fish. I used only the one lure, a Halcon Night Crawler. Maybe if I was using something smaller I would have landed a cricket score. Here's some of them.

Anyway, you get the idea, no real size. Landed back at Heart attack hill (Shines rd) around 9.30pm. Btw, the mozzies aren't too bad at the moment. I made do with just the one application of repellent. Still the other bugs are an issue if you turn a light on.

The largest hit/miss of the night came from around the Russel's sticks area, the splash soaked me from 4 metres away. :)

Cheers,
Dave.

A decent sesh nevertheless Dave. My last afternoon around there found similar sized bass too. I did get busted off by a better fish from the last big lay down at the Lowood end of the logjam.
