Title: Jonesy Lures
Post by: Mustang on September 15, 2010, 06:52:16 PM
Hi,

Would some one be able to give me an idea as to where I could buy some Jonesy Lures, they did well at Wivenhoe and I was to slow get my hands on some.
Would like to boost up the lure arsenal if any one could help. Thanks Brett  :)

Hi Sel, they are a good looking lure, any idea on diving depths?

Cheers Andrew

I get them down to about 25 feet, Denis however gets them down to near 33 feet but he trolls with a lot of line out the back...

Cheers

There are three size bibs in the Elles.  If I plan to trawl Swan bay I use the small one,  On the flats I use the medium (which most people are using) I drop them back somewhere between 50 & 70 mts, (tricked a few angler during the comp as I had fast sink lures cast over my lines & the lures end up having sex).  During the comp nearly every fish was landed on the 8lb outfit .
I used the large bib later in the morning when the fish were deeper , I think they can reach between 35- 40 ft.
One thing I have noticed is if your lures are a long way back buy the time you have retreived a 50cm + there is little fight & netting is easier.
Jonesy's lures are awesome from bream to barra to GT poppers
