Title: Cressbrook?
Post by: Muzfox on April 23, 2014, 11:04:55 PM
I've wanted to fish this dam for years. Finally pulling my finger out and I'm going to head up this Saturday.

Does anyone have recent reports? Also, any tips or hints on how to fish the joint more than welcome.

Apparently there can be a good surface bite there so will be taking the fly rod along.

Oh and does anyone know what the current entry fee is? Planning an early start, 6am launch if anyone else is keen ;)

Been there twice, raised 2 fish the first trip, 1 on surface, one trolling a spinner. I found it tough, sounded up schools and couldn't get them to touch anything at all!

Brad Clark has been getting a few on Blades working the deep schools.  It used to be a $2 coin to open the boom gate, not sure if that is still the case.

Thanks for the info guys. I found a mention on a caravan site that it's sitting at $3 boom gate entry, will take along a selection of coins just in case.

Have to go Sunday now, my eldest has decided to start soccor again at the last minute and his first game is this Saturday doh! Sokay tho, weather/wind still looking okay for Sunday. Will take along a varied selection of options, should have some fun trying to see if I can crack a pattern, and I'm super excited to go to a new location, that's 99% worth the trip right there :)

Will report back for sure!.
