Some pictures of the Bremer River taken on the 28.10.11 in Ipswich where the fresh meets the salt. The river had a good flow in it from recent rainfall .

Went past this spot today and dropped in for a look
Gladstone Rd Coalfalls is the access point.
Water is clean, very clean with good amounts of garfish in the area straight out from the drop in in the top picture.
Had a good base flow coming down.
My challenge to anyone out there, drop your kayak in and head upstream and land a bass.
See if you can beat me to it.
Me I have commitments that are going to keep me off the water for at least the next 9 days. Yep, cant even fish over easter.
So who wants the challenge?

Does anyone know how popular the park is ?
The sort of place that will be crawling with people over Easter or not ??
My wife and I only have Friday and Sunday to spare, we're thinking Cooby Dam first thing on Friday, but Sunday is still open ..............

Via mobile phone
I lived on opposite side of the Bremer at Sydney Street for a few years. Could often catch bass and bull sharks at the rocks behind the house.
Have caught bass from the tidal stuff at the junction right up through the spot mentioned here, through Leichardt, One Mile, Berrys Weir at Churchill, 3 mile, 5 Mile and beyond up to Rosewood. Caught sone crackers up there over the years.
I'm amazed this river isn't on more people's radar.
Also don't forget to look at the Bremers feeder creeks(hint hint)
Cheers
