I had a lot of work on during the school holidays and we moved house and therefore I missed out spending enough of it fishing with Jules - last week of barra season, Jules had a birthday coming up - "I know where this is going" said Jules headmaster when I was explaining why he was going to wag school (& me work) for a week - central Qld has the closest wild sweetwater barra population from where I live in northern NSW so that's where we went - to a creek somewhere......

We got 13 barra (3 keepers), 5 jacks (3 keepers), lost count of onk onks, longtom and tarpon for the week - great father and son time :)

Sounds like a great week!

Probably better for Jules than just another week at school anyway.

Wonderful memories for the kids that will last a lifetime. ( unlike a lot of things that are taught in school )
Great post. Thanks for sharing

Awesome stuff JT. A good mix of fish.... :thumbsup
My money is still on Jules to take out the title this year..... :popcorn)

I think you on the money Fitzy - bass score board currently stands at Jules 3.44m, 12 individuals and 40cm best length while I'm on 0.8m, 3 individuals and 33cm best.... pitiful, but we're yet to hit our straps on some serious bass missions and he's been clocking up after school missions with his mates... that's my excuse anyways ;) I did him on the best barra and jack last week - have to have some redemption ;D
