if you venture as far as the army barricks watch where you are you just might get a visit.

Just a word of caution

I have heard a lot about Bass in the Coomera but more so about Jacks.  How far up do Jacks tend to travel in there?  Do they get to the point where they mingle with the bass in non-spawning time.  That would be a great mix, either getting smoked by a big Bass or Jack.  Best of both worlds.   :P

Cheers

Have not been up there for many years.
You can kayak downstream from Sharp Pk. for about 2Ks till you reach the boundary of the Army.
There is a weir in the Army area a bit further down which is a significant barrier.
Quite a journey for Bass to even reach this weir.
Some fish are caught in this area probably stocked.

cheers
Steve.

Thanks all for the replys.
I only got a change to fish landbased. as i ran out of time friday arvo to get the roof racks on, and load the kayak.
we caught nothing, but did see several snakes, a small platypus, and other general wildlife.
i was told there is bass, but the catfish are more plentifull.
next time the kayak is a must.
