Title: Wivenhoe today.
Post by: Muzfox on May 20, 2013, 01:39:33 PM
Having a long weekend is always nice :) Headed out to Wivenhoe at gentleman's hours, launched around 10am at Logan's inlet (after dodging the black snake making its way across the entrance near the grid, yikes!)

Wind was nw but not too hard. Trolled out for about an hour, giving the new sounder a workout. Love it, working perfectly, saw some beautiful arches, unfortunately nothing wanted to play.

After that outwards troll, the wind died completely, dropped some jigs on schools for no luck. All of a sudden the wind was right up again, at least twice as strong as earlier..but from the sw this time! Doh.

Lure back in the water, and a hard peddle for another hour back in with no luck again. Was good to get an idea of the depths etc in the inlet tho, got a lot of learning to do on this dam.

So a donut this time, 2 hours peddling into the wind lol, felt good to be on the water tho, was a good confidence builder.
