Increased releases from Glennies Creek Dam / Lake Saint Clair
4 March 2013 - NSW State Water

Glennies Creek DamReleases from Glennies Creek Dam increased over the weekend as rainfall across the catchment resulted in high inflows into the dam.

Since 9am on Saturday 2 March, 18,900ML has flowed into the dam, resulting in releases of 3,500ML per day on Saturday evening. Releases were increased last night to a rate of 5,300ML per day.

State Water Manager Water Delivery, Adrian Langdon said that releases were likely to stay at this level for a few days.

“These releases are likely to continue for three days until inflows into the storage decrease,” said Mr Langdon.

State Water is advising landholders and water users downstream of the dam to be aware of the increase in releases, and to monitor their stock and equipment.
