Where abouts Chep?  The missus copped that in Warwick.

30mm in Gatton, but only 7mm in Fernvale.  The Lockyer will be dirty.

The light pole out the front of our house copped a direct lightning hit during dinner last night in Collingwood Park. Never seen anything so bright or heard anything so loud. Tripped our circuilt and 5 houses across the street and blew out the globes on the nearby lights as well. Hellofa bang. Flash/bang/darkness, scared the cr@p outta the kids :OMG

Played touch footy at Kedron last night while the storm was approaching.

The lightning was right above our heads and was awesome! As much as I enjoyed the light show it was pretty stupid to be standing out in an open paddock, covered in sweat playing footy when there's so much electricity around, and soooo close!
The rain started just before we finished playing which was good to cool things down a little.
I know the rain didn't extend too far west, but here's hoping some of the farmers who really need it actually got some!

That was in Gatton. Honestly thought we were going to lose the roof at one stage. The rain was incredible - must have been considerably more than 30mm where we are. Lot of close lightning - the dog was having kittens. The Lockyer was up a bit this morning but not as much as i expected.
If it takes stronger wind than that to blow a house roof off then i don't want to be there...........

Sore subject at the moment....one of the kids chooks died on the weekend. Had to dig a dirty great burial hole & have a service. Now I've gotta get a flamin' headstone made apparently. Bloody pets............  :o

Some better rain today. I hope they got some out west, was at the Moonie over new year week and it was bone dry in places, further west is worse apparently. God save those cod.
