Any advice on launching at Tiaro , Qld

I am thinking of giving a stretch of the Marry river a fish and with the only boat ramp in the area around Tiaro at Pietrie Park I was wondering if any one has launched a 15ft boat from there, I have bank fished at the pumping station and had a fair bit of good luck and looking at Google Earth there seems to be better prospects further up stream, the problem is I can't seem to find any depth surveys and it may be a bit skinny for my boat, (don't have a kayak), I would appreciate any advice.
