After you guys had all the fun last week I decided to hit Shines Road on my own today. Heart Attack hill is aptly named. Caught 11 Bass with only two over 40 cm. End report need rest now.

Catfish Al , Little Catfish Al , Myself and Alison went for a quick down there this afternoon ( Sunday ). Just drifted downstream flicking amongst the shadows on the banks. We got a few good Bass aswell .

Also with the weather warming up , the usual reptiles are starting to become active. Saw this guy swimming near the bank . Its a Keelback or sometimes called a Freshwater Snake. IMO the most commonly encountered snake on or near the river . They are totally harmless and possess no venom glands , and are the only native Australian snake that can eat Cane Toads without dying ( as long as the toad is small enough to fit in their gob ).
