Wyaralong Dam - western reaches temporarily closed
 Date: 08/01/2015   - Seqwater

The western extremities of Lake Wyaralong in the immediate vicinity of the Lilybrook recreation area and Knehr Road paddle craft launch point have been closed to all water based activities due to water quality issues.

Signage has been erected at the western access points advising of the temporary closure.

Please note current water quality test results indicate that the eastern reaches of the lake near the dam wall and including the installed rowing course are not affected at this time.

Additional water samples will be collected and we will advise of further changes to this status.

Please play it safe  at our dams, lakes and parks this summer.

Just in case you missed it above

Please note current water quality test results indicate that the eastern reaches of the lake near the dam wall and including the installed rowing course are not affected at this time

Above pic also is the rec area at the dam wall on the eastern side. So you can still use this area above.

So how have they marked the "on water based activities limit" when one heads up the dam after launching at the front of the dam, or does one just turn around at the stage ones hull start to dissolve ;)
