Warwick Region Fishing Report 10 September 2014

LESLIE DAM: Numbers at Leslie Dam are on the increase, with lure anglers having better success than previous weeks.  Local anglers reported on bag limits being filled in an afternoon session.  Anglers hopping Mask Vibes experienced the best results, with other anglers trolling Yo-Zuri 3D Shads along Cod Alley landing some nice fish.  Bait anglers also had some success up near the Black Boys on shrimp.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam also managed to pick up some nice fish.  The bait anglers had the most success, with anglers landing several nice Golden Perch on worms in the more sheltered areas.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Maroon was the most successful out of these two, with some quality Bass being landed over the past week.  These fish have measured up to 48cm in length and were landed mainly on soft plastics.  One angler reported on landing 11 fish on Saturday on Keitech Easy Shiners. The bait anglers landed some nice fish on live shrimps while fishing the bays to the right of the boat ramp.  There were also some nice Bass landed on fly.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our rivers and creeks produced a few nice fish over the past week.  Local anglers managed to land some legal sized Golden Perch in various locations on both lures and bait.
One local angler landed a lovely Murray Cod in the town area on Sunday afternoon.
The Dalrymple Creek at Allora also saw some fish being landed on soft plastics during the past week.

Kind regards,
Karla
