Brisbane River - After the Flow
« on: January 03, 2011, 03:06:48 PM »
The Wivenhoe floodgates are shut & the river downstream is returning to normal levels.

Here is a couple of pictures taken this after noon showing Twin Bridges & Savages Crossing near Fernvale.

I recon it will clear up fairly quickly with the last of the water coming from Wivenhoe, not the 40 gazzillion tonnes of top soil that comes with every flow of the Lockyer Creek cause from crops being right to the creeks bank & just above the high water mark.....  :o

Just went over Colleges Crossing, it re-openned tonight.  :thumbsup

fitz..
