Title: Start booking your holidays !!!
Post by: Novice on February 29, 2012, 12:39:24 PM
Warragamba Dam on the Nepean-Hawksbury system near Sydney is set to spill. A trout turkey shoot of epic proportions will be on the cards when this rain event is over . Warragamba dam is closed to the public and as such , the trout population has hopefully grown unmolested. Us Qlders should book holidays and help our NSW cousins thin out these ferals that will be stranded in the fresh below the dam  ;D

After speaking to a friend who lives in Penrith , he said last time this happened , the Trout went berserk until the next summer when water temperatures became too warm for them.

Cheers,
Dave.

p.s. An interesting side note , Warragamba is a water storage only and has no flood mitigation capacity !! wow .
