We arrived Monday after lunch and by the time camp was up only managed to squeeze a couple of hours in for zip.
Tuesday dawned to a cloudy start but the cloud soon burned off with us heading up the dam for a serious crack at them. We threw a number of different hardbodies in varying colours but could only manage a 43 and a 70. Both fell to a XSR12 in Glass Ghost. Back to camp for lunch and a trip in to Foxies to grab some XSR10's again in Glass Ghost.
Wednesday dawned to a cloudy start but the cloud soon burned off with us heading up the dam for another crack at them. Armed with the Peter4 recommended lures, we landed a pair of 71's and a pair of 69's with a 40 thrown in for good luck.
Thursday dawned to a cloudy start but the cloud soon burned off with us heading up the dam for yet another crack at them before the inevitable pack up and drive home. This time we found where some of last years stocked fingerlings were hiding. We managed to land 12 between 40 and 45 in 3 hours including a double hookup.
Highlights of the trip besides catching Barra.
Watching Shane lean left and right as I short cut through the timber. At one stage he was pushing the brake pedal.
Shane is a pretty fair cook and his skill as a deckie did improve.
Being on the water before the sun was up 3 day in a row.(I don't plan on making it a habit)
Thanks for a great trip Shane.

Wel done fellas. Thanks for the report. :youbeauty
How far up the lake did you have to go to find them?
Were there many at the camp ground / boats on the water?
-
Most of our fish were caught up around D but we heard of some coming out of Jacks so a fair way up the dam.
Ramps were pretty quiet being mid-week but I imagine it is busy up there this weekend with the MASA comp on.

Nice. Good to see the fish coming back on the chew. I've heard some promising things about Awoonga too.

Well done Dave and Shane, thanks for the report :thanks
Looks like Shano is estatic with his catches, especially after doing a few donut trips since the first floods. I'm sure I detect a smile there!!!
Great to see the place coming back.
Cheers Dave
