Title: A little advice please
Post by: lochstyle on November 02, 2015, 06:06:01 AM
Hi

I am coming to Australia in January and am planning a few days camping and fishing at Lake Burrendong and Lake Windamere.

Can anyone advise me as to whether i need a 4x4 to get to the decent spots or can i get away with a camper van? I am trying to figure out what i need to hire to make it a good trip.

Also any advise on where there any decent free camping spots at either lake would be gratefully received .  :thanks

Cheers
Loch

You should be fine with a camper.  Camping probably won't be free, but it will be inexpensive.
Some good info on TSRs here; http://www.mudgeebusiness.com/caravan-parks--camping.html (http://www.mudgeebusiness.com/caravan-parks--camping.html)  There won't be any toilet or washing facilities in TSRs though.
