Windamere dam silver perch concerns
« on: March 09, 2015, 09:52:19 PM »
Has anyone of late caught a silver perch in lake windamere?
I've fished it almost every week end i can for the past 3 years and have not caught one in the dam since 2004!
where are they?
We used to tie the boat up to a tree and almost every tree we would get silvers on worms.

Seen the same at alot of other places... rarely get silvers these days. I think they're in some serious trouble in the wild as well as dams.

Personally I would never stock them (for put and take impoundments), catch return rate way to low to justify spending money on when compared to catch rate of bass or yella's.

There's still heaps in wyangala, and i think windamere is still stocked each year with them and they would breed in there.
But where did they all go?
