SWFSA Overview
The Somerset & Wivenhoe Fish Stocking Assn (SWFSA) stock Australian native fish into Lakes Somerset and Wivenhoe, Atkinsons Dam & their tributaries including the Brisbane & Stanley Rivers.
SWFSA also stock some small council owned water in the Ipswch & Somerset Regions periodically including Haig St Quarry at Brassall.
Species Stocked
Australian Bass, Golden Perch, Silver Perch, Saratoga and Mary River Cod
Hatchery
Own & Operate the Don MacPherson Memorial Fish Hatchery at Winston St, Yamanto (Ipswich) where Golden Perch & Silver Perch are bred annually for stocking into local waterways as part of a recreational fishing enhancement program.
Meetings
The SWFSA meet on the third wednesday of each calendar month at the Fernval Futures Complex at 7:30pm. All are welcome to attend.

There will be no October general meeting of S&WFA due to majority of executive will be unable to attend.
November meeting will be as per normal schedule, 3rd wednesday of the month at Fernvale Futures Complex.
