Title: Where to fish around the Ipswich area?
Post by: UBK on April 18, 2011, 12:43:45 PM
Hey guys, since not long discovering a love for fishing in the fresh from a recent road trip down to Vic and back, I was curious as to where around my area is good to go?
I have been to Colleges Crossing alot, I can get into Bream, the odd flatty, lotsa catty and small spengleds. But I was after somewhere else to head? Be it up toward Wivenhoe/Summerset. Being land based is a big hinderance.. but I'm willing to walk and drive as much as needed :) Once I finish doing up my tinny I will be looking into getting a yak.. can't wait!
Anyhow, any info would be a great help :)
Cheers, Ben

Cormorant Bay at Wivenhoe.  Just before you cross the wall.

Yep, there's a picnic area just before the wall on the right.
