Numbnuts go fishing
« on: May 06, 2013, 08:13:08 PM »
Having just had a look at the news section and seeing that once again Fisheries offcers in NSW and Victoria have apprehended illegal fishers, it makes you wonder how many of these greedy bastards are out there. Having spoken to a Fisheries people and finding out that the old set line or "dropper" is still in widespread use, you have to ask yourself why they do it. I have no doubt that I will have great pleasure in dobbing in any I find. I also bumped into a bloke who was involved in the sting NSW and Qld Fisheries did last year on the Dumaresq. He said they were dobbed in and that it was all for a charitable organisation and that they put on a fish BBQ to raise money. Putting on a fish BBQ of Murray Cod? Idiots! End of rant.

fishing is not essential to life, it's much more important

Conceeding for ignorance can only go so far..... My standard response for people taking big numbers of fish or protected ones is "That's why there are next to none left !!! >:("  then I change the subject before I get up a head of steam.
