:-X Have a few here that I own. Have some more in storage that are donated for the museum when it happens. Can't ever trade, sell or give these away.

The Aust Lure Museum is a long term project. Plan is to create a facility open to the public where a collection of Aussie made lures will be on display, along with other memorabilia. The Aust Lure Expo is a short term (interim) until the a building can be sourced.

i had dozens of em years ago untill i lost 2 tackle boxes in a boat roll over on some rapids had some newel and rob gaden too . i used to sell them and other tackle  in my shop also made a few custom rods back then too so of course my tackle box was chokers with lures ands lots woulod of been local made ones . have not seen trev for years he called in to see me a few times .
i dont realy want to get rid of any though if they are this hard to find i have an aussie 200 in my hand that has the soldered tow hitch , had it in my tackle box so that was easy to put my hands on , so now i have to have a look around in other boxes and see what else i have and put them away for safer keeping .  know i had a lot of darts but they may have gone in the boating misshap ( geez i lost a lot of gear that day ) .

johno

oh yeah by the way g,day every one just joined up cos i have rekindled my fishing interest due to my recent purchase of a yak .

Johno,

Sad to hear of your loss of lures, sadly I think all of us Fishermen at some stage in our life has lost a Plano  or two full of lures  :)
Mcfeeter lures all 99.9% of them had Soldered Tow wires in his lures.  The Darts are not that rare as I reckon these were the most used and sort lures back in the day...and still work a treat.  Just that some people today enjoy stashing them in a cabinet and admire them for what ever reason if it be a young childhood memory or now just want a part of New england history.
The harder to find models are very sort after including myself but very happy to see many people have some to cherish and enjoy.

They are out there and plenty are still hiding in tackle boxes just like yours.. what you decide to do with them is your choice.  Would love to see a picture if you have time someday.

cheers

Just read your post Johno, thanks for the reply.

Was not expecting at all to receive any feedback on my original post. These lures are very hard to find mate! I can imagine loosing those lures would have really made your day. Knowing now what they are worth doesn't help I bet.

Johno I would love to know if you managed to find any in your tackle boxes and would love a pic as well. However I fear any that you had are long gone. Should and will pay more attention to my posts in future :Oops) Good luck with the kayak mate, love to get out and go for a fish on mine.
