Abu Hi-Lo would be my guess.

Abu Hi-Lo would be my guess.
Got a couple here, I agree.

It was pretty simple really, they were using Abu Ambassadeur reels on Abu Suecia rods. Harro had a dark Abu hat on, Jack had a red Abu hat on and Vic had a yellow Abu hat on. The only time I've ever seen Harro high stick a fish was trying to get it to jump for the camera, so I'd guess they were filming a little segment for Abu. It was either before the Abu Killer range was released, or the fish were just a little too deep for the Killer to get to them so they were using the Hi Lo. Someone want to ring Harro to check how close I am?

Where's the river tho you reckon? - Nicholson? Mitchell? - freshwater croc makes it the Gulf somewhere..., maybe NT?

Just spoke to Rod it was the Normanby River. It was a shoot for Abu and the lures were Abu Hi Lo.

Yeah those hilos were good barra lures (still are) - my dads still got boxes of new ones (if there are any bidders ;)) - they were one of the first to successfully pull off an adjustable bib with a robust design that changes the lures from surface thrashers to deep divers - they also had a luminescent version that I recall dad used to good effect fishing for barra at night in the Bowen River (upper Burdekin) - you'd charge it up with a torch shine and then it'd glow for several casts, made night control of your lure easier and didn't stop fish from hitting it.

We use digital cameras to light up our luminous spinnerbaits now. Modern technology! They look like Christmas decorations when you cast them up into a tree though.
That Video was taken in the '70's, but I'm guessing it would be about 77 to 78.
