Onya SEQ water.
« on: June 06, 2011, 01:48:37 PM »
I was at temp eastern ramp at hinze on saturday and observed an incorrect seq water sign stating that Hinze was part of the SIP scheme and you need a sip permit to fish there. I also observed a large washout in the ramp area.
I sent an email and photos to Dom Courtney from SEQ water.
On sunday night I recieved an email back from Dom and thought " that is pretty good".
Anyhow I was back there for another bass fix this morning when just after 7 I saw a ranger pull up and remove the incorrect signage.
When I got back to the ramp around 10,30 there was 2 rangers there doing an excellent job picking up rubbish and cleaning up the site. They were meticulos picking up the smallest bit of paper and dumpers.
They had half a ute full of plastic cable insulation that some yobbo had dumped there.
Had a bit of a yarn to them and they are a credit to SEQ water they appeared very dedicated and proud of what they do.
Ps anyone wanting a bass fix they are thick opposite the ramp and downstream past the big tree.
80 on saturday and 50 plus this morning all on live shrimp and a lot of fish over 40.
 Cheers
Ray
