Brisbane River

Hey Guys, its been a while.

I got the chance to escape down the road to target some surface action yesterday. I also wanted to test out my anchor and rod holders on the Aspire105 I recently acquired.

Its basically set up the same as my Pungo120.

I launched at a familiar spot on the river.

I paddled around a bit for a few hits but no hook ups.

I got bricked twice and also landed a few pups.

I had the camera going, I had to edit a bit. I never realised I cursed so much when fishing on my own.

Small | Large

Cheers,
Dave.

Same yak I've got. Same colour and all! You've given me a couple of pimping ideas. I know your spot well. Looks like you're getting more action than what I have there lately! Thanks Dave.

I must be getting the fishing bug again. I took my young fella down to Heart Attack Hill yesterday arvo, only for an hour or so. Landed two Bass off the surface and had half a dozen hits all up.

These ex-Wivenhoe Bass are getting a little hollow.

After being a little breezy earlier when we launched , it glassed out nicely as we made our way back.

We fished out of a Commander Angler this time (I have it on loan from a mate) , its certainly not as nimble the Aspire105.

Cheers,
Dave.

Ah yes, heart attack hill. Done that many a time. I'm nearly at the stage where I need to cross that one off the list! Either that or get fitter. Nearly did me in last time!
