Title: Sept 1st
Post by: SpinnaB8 on September 02, 2011, 09:59:03 PM
Well I ended up taking a mate out to Hinze for his first ever bass fish.  It was a very cool morning with around 10knts of southerly pushing up the dam in the western arm when we got there.  After I'd dropped a few fish on blades my mate came up trumps on a nice fat 47 fork bass that gave him the run around for a while.  The smile on his face when the fish was landed was priceless, what better way to pop up your bass cherry, other than a fat 50 + from the Brissie!  We kept plugging away working the edges with vibes, plastics and blades as we didn't see a lot of schooled up fish to drop in on.  Sometime later we moved into a gully and located a few more, dropped another and then I landed a 33 fork fish, thank god I said, no dohnut!  It wasn't the most productive of days but hey, sure beats the hell out of being at work when the suns shining!

SB8
p.s.  Didn't see any toga, swirls or any other surface activity the whole day  :(

I was bait fishing there yesterday and it was a slow day compared to the last couple of trips.
The big school that was at Ians island has moved on
.Only managed a total of 10 from several different locations best mid 30's.
Cheers
