Title: NSW Trout season
Post by: John Coles on September 26, 2010, 07:29:28 AM
The new season starts next weekend and finally after some great winter rain the season is looking very good.
The Central Tablelands and Southern Highlands Dams are all filling again and some are full.
I was fishing some private dams in the Southern Highlands yesterday and the fish were going off slashing at midge and a few duns coming off.
I landed a couple of really fit Rainbows both around the 2kg mark and for this time of the year they were in very good condition.
Further South the Alpine dams are filling and with snow melt the rivers will be really flowing well.
If anyone wants a guided trip give me a call. I also have  have a few places on my Learn to Fly Fish weekends at Oberon and Tumut, see my web site for all the details. Plus checkout my online shop.
Tight lines
