G'day all. Anyone going for a paddle at Big W this weekend? Weather looks good.
-
Weathers looking great, but I'm hitting the rusty stuff this weekend I"m afraid, need to try and get a feed, but it could be lacking as I'm attempting to get it with the fly rod :)
Have a good paddle out there, from my last two trips, looks like a lot of fish are a little further up the dam, say from Logans and up. My sounder was very empty on last weekends trip out of Kipper creek. Best soundings I got was from around the front of the sailing club launching point.
Wind and tides are just too perfect for Sunday, I'm heading out from Wello point to chase some snaps and anything else that wants a nice tasty freshly tied clouser.

Hang a rattle out the clouser's bum with a piece of tubing

Thanks for the advice Muzfox. Heading up after work to camp the night with my boy. Gonna do an arvo run out of logan's then further up the dam maybe out of hamon cove on sunday. If anyone is out look out for us. Olive Hobie Quest and a red Seak. Come and say hello. Will post results later.

Update report. Weather was awesome. Fishing Quiet. 2 catties and a foul hooked turtle. It was a great paddle though.

Wivenhoe seems a bit tough at the moment. I must have covered about 18 km around parts of that dam over the weekend. Went from Logan's to Pelican island to the CSIRO buoy to almost the Horse Paddock then back to Logan's on Sat for only 1 forky and 1 bass. Sunday, went from Kipper Creek to Billies Bay boat ramp to half way out across Fitzy's Flats (around the white marker buoy out there) then back to Kipper Creek for zip. Needless to say my arms and shoulders know about it now!
Where are all these winter bass everyone talks about?

I took a drive up to Deep Creek on sunday. Paddled out to Tulgera Point for a look. Very quiet. Not a lot on the sounder just bits and pieces. Nice paddle anyway.

Going for a paddle out there tomorrow morning, hope it's not windy, it has been a while.
