After yet another day of no fish at North Pine Yesterday, I decided I wanted to catch some fish so I snuck up to Baroon this morning with Daughter in tow.
Was a fairly quiet day, 3 catties and 3 bass before the wind got up and chased us home. Was only the last half an hour we got on to the bass as well, tried another spot that used to produce many years ago and found them. Should have moved earlier, if we could get 3 at 10am, we probably would have had a cricket score at 7am!
You'll also notice that someone pulled the plug out in the first photo, Dam is down nearly half a metre since I was there 3 weeks ago. Water was only a foot or two down the bank from the post legs last time. Must be thirsty buggers on the Sunshine coast!
2nd shot, its a hard life being a deckie on the "Silver Bullet" !
3rd shot, daughter not impressed, looked like some eel robbed her of beating her PB Tandanus by a cm!
4th shot, thats what we came for!

Good stuff mate, really great when you can take a kid fishing and they actually catch something worthwhile, as opposed to sitting in the boat all day pining for thier Xbox. Only 30sleeps until the Bass season re-opens!

I think Fitzy should make a countdown clock till bass season opens ::)
Its always a good feeling catching fish while in a bit of a rut not finding them in the first place.
