Title: Water proofing Boots
Post by: BG on March 08, 2012, 01:25:53 PM
I guess there a few of you go scrub bashing / fishing like I do.

I go decked out in heavy boots and those canvas leggings for a bit of snake protection plus I stroll in the shallows quite often and boots supports the ankles pretty well.

I was due to freshen up the Dubbin on the boots the other day and I noticed it getting low so I did one boot with Canola oil.  Can not see any difference.  Walked a few K in wet grass crossed a few creeks.

Give it a try.

Good one,
I used to use vasiline for work boots, as it was available at work.
Main thing, apply it when the boots are totally dry...... even sit them in the sun to let it soak in.......
