Cressbrook Dam open for permitted activities (March 30)

Cressbrook Dam is open for all permitted recreation activities.

Water levels have fallen below the required safety standard allowing Toowoomba Regional Council to re-open the dam to the public.

Normal operating hours are from 6am to 8pm until the end of April. Winter hours at both dams are 7am to 6pm from May to August.

Recreational users also can visit Loveday Cove at Cooby Dam. This area is open from 7am to 8pm until the end of April.

Cooby Dam wall picnic area remains closed due to damage suffered during the 2011 flooding.

Perseverance Dam is closed to all water activities until further notice.

There is a site entry fee of $2.50 per vehicle at Cressbrook and Cooby Dams. (Correct coins only accepted.)

Apart from fishing and camping permits, there are no other charges at Cressbrook Dam. Camping is not allowed at Cooby Dam, but fishing permits are needed.
