On the eve of the opening of the new trout season the call has just come through that 500 fish have been stocked into Lake Kara. Ranging in size from 1 kg through to a trophy sized 4 kg the mix of Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout will certainly make this lake a place to visit over the coming weeks. Despite having a 12 fish bag limit anglers are asked to limit their take home catch from Lake Kara so that the fishing can be enjoyed by all.
