Haig Street Quarry has an infestation of Tilapia & Gambusia, both noxious pest fish. We (Somerset & Wivenhoe Fish Stocking Assn) occasionally stock a few native fish in there.

DAFF (Qld Fisheries Dept) have hit it with rotenone a couple of times however the tilapia seem to either survive it or someone is putting them back in there. Search around on the www enough & you will find results of the surveys on Haig Street Quarry.

No mullet ever recorded in there in surveys, neither have they been stocked there.
