Title: Lunch Time Fish (Bremer)
Post by: Gav on September 28, 2012, 02:47:09 PM
After getting back from Mackay yesterday I headed to work for a few hours then knocked off at lunch time to get a quick fish in. I needed the chance to relax and a nice paddle and perhaps a bass or two would be jest the medicine I needed.
After a couple of nice people on the forum suggested using hard bodies I decided to fish with my home made ones as I had never caught a bass on them yet. I tied on a nice black one with some red eyes and after about ten minutes I had landed my pb for the river at 37cm so I was pretty excited.  Unfortunately I lost my brag mat over the side some how so I had to use a small tape meaure but it still did the job. I headed up stream casting to snags and the deeper water when I was hit by something big and after a nice battle I landed my second bass which went 44cm to the fork and became my now new pb.
i was debating on whether to retire my now favorite hardbody and wish I had because the next hook up took me straight into a snag and my lure was gone (lucky they are cheap). I tied on another home made one which was green and black and hooked up to another two nice bass before calling it a day. What a great way to finish the work week off and now I have to make a few more black lures.

Well done Gav, the Bremer seems to be firing for you, all the better getting them on your own lures.

Cheers Andrew
