Warwick Region Fishing Report 20 May 2014

LESLIE DAM (http://www.sweetwaterfishing.com.au/leslie.htm): Most anglers reported Leslie Dm a little quiet with numbers being down.  There were a few Golden Perch landed over the weekend on lures and bait.  Lures were the most successful when being trolled.  The most successful area was up near the Black Boys while various spots in the main basin also produced some fish.  There were a few fish landed while casting blades to the edges.  One local angler managed to land a lovely 85cm Murray Cod on a TN60 Jackall.  This fish was released back into the dam, which is great to see.

CONNOLLY DAM (http://www.sweetwaterfishing.com.au/Connolly.htm): Connolly Dam experienced mixed results, with some anglers doing better than others.  Anglers had the most success while using bait, with several Golden Perch and small Murray Cod being landed over the weekend.  One angler had success landing several nice Golden Perch while casting spinnerbaits along the rocky edge.

STORM KING DAM (http://www.sweetwaterfishing.com.au/StormKing.htm): Anglers landed some quality Golden Perch on hard body lures, with the Yo-Zuri 3D Crank working well.

RIVER AND CREEKS: The local rivers and creek systems has continued to fish quite well, with anglers having some success in the town area as well as around the Allora.  Anglers reported on some Murray Cod being landed to the east of Warwick on surface lures.  The were also a few legal sized Golden Perch landed on both lures and bait in the Dalrymple Creek,  just west of Allora.
