Title: bremer river west ipswich
Post by: riverhunter on April 16, 2014, 09:05:20 AM
Good morning
Yesterday we fished a section of bremer river . Launched at 7 am starting near rocks  we got 2 catfish 3 bream and 2 grunters using prawns on unwieghted hook. After we run out of prawns paddeled upstream to some rapids. Its pretty much 100% freshwater above these rapids . Keen to catch a bass before season close. We used vibe lures ,plastics and cicadia surface lure . Got a solid hit on cicadia lure just before sunset . Rod tip went down was on for few seconds but didn't set the hook properly he got off . Deffenitly going to try frog and cicadia lure s more often its great when u see surface hit . Might go do 1 more sesh before Anzac day . Then wait till next bass season. Usually get bass on tsunami SP.  Or kokoda SP. Out back minnows kokoda minnows and vibes. Best Sesh in this section 2 bass 2 catfish on lures .Also caught a tiny bream on tsunami SP few weeks ago right below rapids . And my nabour caught a small bass on kokoda SP in lagoon, he caught two in same week  on SP from kokoda bream and bass pack. Catch and release.
Cheers joseph
