Wyaralong Dam; Weed??

Does anyone have any info on the demise of the once prolific weed growth at Wyaralong? I made my first visit of the year yesterday, all the usual spots were devoid of life and the water was almost black!!

There was a huge blue-green algae bloom not long ago. That might have something to do with it.
