Title: Beardy's 105mm & cod
Post by: Novice on March 30, 2013, 03:04:27 PM
Went for a sneaky day trip down to the Dumaresq again yesterday with the plan to get an old mate onto his first cod. I also wanted to see if a lure in hot pink would work on them aswell.

A Beardy's 105mm

My friend Brett missed out in the Cod but did get a Golden Perch on a purple Garra Tera.

I also got a cod on a Garra tera , and another 7 on a Aborgast Mud bug. By the end of the the day , the Good Friday campers had turned up in numbers mainly along stretches of river on private property.

Were they male or female Cod after those pink things. Goes to show they don't really worry about colour, it's the vibration the lure puts out. You could probably throw any colour as long as the lure had the right moves.

Colors are more important at catching anglers in stores than fish in the water....  ;)
