Title: Rain - Does the fishing improve, worsen or doesn't matter?
Post by: beetleyak on January 23, 2015, 03:41:07 PM
G'day All,

Just after people's experiences on how you have found rain such as we've been having here in SEQ affects the fishing afterwards. I've heard varying reports over the years, but am hoping things will pick up after a little bit of an injection of rainwater into the rivers and creeks.

Bass and perch will move up to flooded banks to eat earth worms . and a lot of action around the edges while its raining bugs/insects washed into water . usally a flood will bring big bass down stream from further up the system. That's what I've found at local spot . always like a bit of rain. I heard the surface fishing can be better when the water is murkey .
Cheers joseph

Son was at NPD yesterday says it was raining that hard he could hardly see the other end of boat but bass and yellas were on fire. Just one fish after the other.
NPD always seems to fish well whilst its raining.
Cheers
